What triggers these behaviours?
Animals are sensitive to the energy of people and feed off it. For example, when you come home after a long day at work and get hyped up when you say hello to your dog, do you notice that you he/she responds in the same way? Barking, tail wagging, maybe jumping? That response is mimicking your energy. Similarly, when you’re feeling anxious or uncertain, that energy feeds in to your animal too.
How can Reiki help your animal?
Reiki energy works on a deep energetic level and supports the innate ability of your animal to heal from the inside out. Whether your animal displays a particular behaviour or has an illness, reiki creates a space for your animal to feel safe, relax and start the healing process.

Domestic Animals

In working with your animal (dog, cat, bird, snake, fish) I will initially have an in depth chat to with you discuss what is going on and what issue is presenting. Your first session will be in your animal's home to ensure they feel safe and are in a familiar environment.

To allow the full effects of Reiki to take place, it is recommended that a series of 4-6 sessions are booked. This allows time for healing to integrate with your animal.
Horses
​
​Reiki for horses, or equine reiki, is an emerging animal complementary therapy that can have a wonderful benefit to these divine animals. In Sally's personal experience in working with race horses, reiki has a very calming effect both pre and post race.
Providing reiki to a horse on a regular basis as part of a training program is an effective way to keep your horse relaxed, focussed, calm and confident. A winning combination!
